Since 1999, Music Adventure has been bringing young string players to European destinations to study and perform chamber music.

The faculty members of Music Adventure are highly experienced chamber musicians, and are devoted to bringing their insights, expertise and coaching to their students. They have traveled extensively, and will bring a unique perspective to their students' appreciation of both music and the wonders of Italy.

Eric Dahlin, cello

ERIC DAHLIN, cello, is co-director of Music Adventure. He is the Assistant Principal cellist of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and is on the faculty of the Hartt School Community Division. Eric is a native of Minneapolis, and began his studies there with long-time Minnesota Orchestra member Cynthia Eddy Britt. He went on to work with Derek Simpson at the Royal Academy in London, David Wells at the Hartt School, and Aldo Parisot at the Yale School of Music. Mr. Dahlin has performed across the United States and Europe as a chamber musician and soloist.

Jaroslaw Lis, violin and viola

JAROSLAW LIS, violin and viola faculty, is co-director of Music Adventure. He is Assistant Principal second violin of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and is on the faculty of the Hartt School Community Division. He has studied with Krysztof Jakowicz, Syoko Aki, the Tokyo String Quartet, and was a scholarship student of Nathan Milstein (Zurich, Switzerland). He has been a member of the Assai and Essex Quartets, receiving Second Prize at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with the Assai Quartet. He has been on the faculty of the Madeline Island Music Camp, the Palisade Arts Festival, and the Friends of Music Camp in South Korea.

Katie Kennedy

KATIE KENNEDY, cello faculty, studied at Oberlin Conservatory and the Liszt Academy in Budapest. She is on the faculty at Loomis Chaffee School, Bethwood Suzuki School and Community Music School, Springfield MA. She is a member of the cello-percussion duo The Uncanny Valley and the Island Chamber Players. She appears frequently as a chamber musician and soloist and with the New Hampshire Music Festival, Hartford Symphony and Orchestra New England. Her performances have been broadcast on NPR.

Teri Einfeldt

TERI EINFELDT, violin and viola faculty, is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She heads the Suzuki Department and is adjunct professor at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School. A Suzuki Association of the Americas registered Teacher Trainer, Teri is a frequent clinician at weekend string workshops and summer Suzuki Institutes throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. She is the former Assistant Concertmistress of the Northeast Pennsylvania Philharmonic and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, and performs frequently with the Hartford Symphony.
